Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Grown on our most elevated and well drained block, the Cabernet Sauvignon crop levels were maintained at under six tonne per hectare. Fruit was hand picked, open fermented, hand plunged and matured in French oak barriques for fifteen months.

A deep rich colour, the nose is fresh raspberries and cherries. Dusty oak is evident in the background. The palate abounds with blackberries and plums, while subtle oak supports the fruit well. Clean natural acidity frames the wine and provides a strong finish.

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is well suited to pasta dishes and is an ideal accompaniment to a porterhouse steak.
